Telegraf Setup

Currently, the Telegraf add-on supports two cloud metrics services: Datadog and Librato.

Datadog

To send metrics to Datadog, you will need to enter the API key provided by your Datadog account, located in Integrations, from the APIs tab. Copy the key.

Back at the Compose console, select Datadog from the drop-down menu and paste the key into the Datadog API key field.

After clicking on the Add Telegraf Add-on button, you should be able to see the database and metrics in Datadog.

Librato

To send metrics to Librato you will need to enter an API User and API Token provided by your Librato account. Navigate to the Integrations Menu and under the tab API Tokens, select or create a token for Compose to use. Copy the information from the two fields under the Token heading.

Back at the Compose console, select Librato from the drop-down menu and paste the required information into the API User and API token fields.

After clicking on the Add Telegraf Add-on button, you should be able to see metrics from your database in Librato.

Configuration and Removal

Current configuration information of the Telgraf add-on shows the service you are currently forwarding to, the connection string, and the credential information being used for you log service account.

Removing the Telegraf add-on.

To reconfigure the add-on, change metrics services, or adjust connection strings it will be necessary to remove it first and then re-install it. To remove the add-on click on the Remove Telegraf button.
